We are friends, sisters-in-law, mothers, and entrepreneurs.
In 2011, Lea founded the goldsmith workshop "schmiedet zusammen" with the concept of wedding ring courses. At the same time, Pia completed her master goldsmith training in Essen and joined the company shortly thereafter.
With the idea of MIMOS rings, we decided in 2024 to continue the goldsmith workshop under the MIMOS jewelry manufactory with all our passion and knowledge.
We are now looking forward to a brand new chapter in our journey!
001. The Idea Behind the MIMOS Ring
When we started in 2022 with the idea of MIMOS rings and our own online shop, we didn't yet know what an exciting journey we were embarking on. The past few years have been characterized by significant investments, the development of a unique ring configurator, patented tools, and countless hours of work on our online shop. We mastered every challenge – even the opposition of a well-known Spanish shoe brand, which we successfully won. Since May 2024, MIMOS has been officially registered as an international jewelry brand – a milestone that makes us incredibly proud!
Three years after our initial idea, we now know how much passion building a brand requires and how crucial it is to maintain focus. Perhaps you already know that we are both mothers and have built the company alongside the challenges of family life.
MIMOS is our centerpiece. In colloquial Spanish, MIMOS means: to caress, to pick up your child, or to make a loving gesture to a dear person. Our MIMOS ring configurator is also a digital, customizable tool that does not yet exist in this form. The craftsmanship is patented by us, making it unique. It is actually our digital, customizable product that allows everyone to design their MIMOS ring from home.
002. Handmade
Our pieces of jewelry are hand-forged. Some are cast, such as our LÍNEA or STONE collection, for which we have developed elaborate wax molds. For our MIMOS rings, we went a step further and redeveloped and patented a tool for the manufacturing process.
003. Sustainability
Sustainability and transparency are the values on which we build our goldsmithery. Where do our precious metals and gemstones come from and how are they mined?
We work with family-run gold and silver refineries from Southern Germany, from which we source high-quality recycled precious metals.
In addition, we also allow our customers to bring their old gold, from which we can directly create pieces of jewelry.
004. Manufacture & Team
We have an incredibly motivated team of goldsmiths by our side! Seeing how innovatively our employees implement new ideas, both in their minds and at the workbench, fills us with great pride!
